Charles Ives and the Piano Sonata No. 2, Concord, Mass., 1840–60

Tributes

American composer Charles Ives would have turned 150 this year. Inspired by the incredible literary universe of Transcendentalist writers and philosophers, his Concord Sonata is a cornerstone of the 20th-century piano repertoire. In conjunction with the lecture given by pianist Louise Bessette, explore an exhibition in Bourgie Hall of various artifacts that once belonged to the composer on display for the first time.

Presented in French
