Pianist Louise Bessette invites us to make a stop in New England with a performance of the vividly descriptive music of MacDowell and Ives’ famous Concord Sonata, as this year marks the 150th anniversary of the latter composer’s birth.

In connection with the lecture Charles Ives and the Piano Sonata No. 2, Concord, Mass., 1840–60presented in French the same day at 5:30 p.m.
