About La Force
La Force is the solo project of Ariel Engle, member of indie rock collective Broken Social Scene. Born and based in Montreal, Engle inherited her parents’ love of music and is one of Canada’s most sought-after musical collaborators, having worked with the likes of Martha Wainwright, Melissa Auf der Mar and Plants and Animals. Her first solo album, La Force, which came out in 2018, was long-listed for the Polaris Music Prize, and she released XO Skeleton in 2023 and XO Skeleton + in 2024.
