Music at Theresienstadt - Lecture

Tribute to Rachmaninoff

The particular circumstances and substantial proportion of musicians at the concentration camps, especially at Theresienstadt, resulted in a flurry of artistic activity, whereby music became both a symbol of solidarity and hope among captives and a tool of survival for those faced with devastatingly inhumane conditions.

In connection with the concert given by Wolfgang Holzmair and Olivier Godin on January 27, 2023.

In collaboration with ExilArte (Vienna) and the Montreal Holocaust Museum
