His music shines through here with its infectious joy and luminous, danceable passages. Schubert, for his part, plunges us into a flood of melodies so emblematic of his style with his Trio No.1. The founder of the Lieder illustrates his passionate effusions and lyricism with moments of lightness. A new work by Montreal composer Jesse Plessis completes the programme with a return to the music of today.
