Trio Fibonacci - Return to Vienna

Guest presenters

Enter into the history of the piano trio! The musicians invite you to step back in time and discover two key pieces in the genesis of this repertoire. Haydn's 'Gypsy' trio was composed at a time when he was exploring the more personal musical avenues offered by chamber music. His music shines through here with its infectious joy and luminous, danceable passages. Schubert, for his part, plunges us into a flood of melodies so emblematic of his style with his Trio No.1. The founder of the Lieder illustrates his passionate effusions and lyricism with moments of lightness. A new work by Montreal composer Jesse Plessis completes the programme with a return to the music of today.
