Trio Fibonacci - Beethoven : Symphonic Trios

Guest presenters

Ta ta ta taaa! This easily recognisable opening motif from Beethoven's Fifth Symphony is known the world over. Challenging the traditional boundaries between chamber and orchestral repertoire, this concert will allow you to discover a new adaptation of the symphony for piano trio - a reminder of the days when large-scale works were performed in condensed form in the intimacy of one’s own living room. In contrast to this monumental work, the Symphony No. 4, also adapted for trio, dazzles us with its celestial sweetness, while revealing the musical genius of the famous Viennese composer who was to revolutionise classical music.
