Self-guided visit

Berthe Weill, Art Dealer of the Parisian Avant-garde

The first woman art dealer to recognize and support the work of young painters of the modern art movement from the start of their careers, Berthe Weill (1865-1951) championed some of the greatest artists we have come to know today.

This exhibition shines a spotlight on her fascinating career through close to 100 works. Many of them are considered milestones in the history of art, while others introduce us to the work of still unsung figures, including several women artists.
