Created by young—and not-so-young—people from every community, these educational exhibitions on social themes are developed in collaboration with many school and community partners. EducExpos showcase the talents of those taking part in them, who draw inspiration from the Museum’s artworks. Admission to them is free at all times.

An online experience
Territoires en création is a project that was initiated by three of the Marguerite-Bourgeoys School Service Centre’s specialist teachers in the visual arts—Brigitte Beaudry, Pascale Bouchard and Laurence Faidutti (also known as Les Trépidantes)—in collaboration with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
In response to the invitation to an artistic exchange among French-speaking students throughout Canada, twelve teachers encouraged their classes to create works reflecting those in the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts’ Quebec and Canadian Art collection through the resources on the Territories and Identities theme available on its EducArt platform.
Having first taken the form of a physical, on-site exhibition, the Museum is now proud to present its online version.
A creative project to explore the idea of resonance
This project, launched in the fall of 2021 by the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts as part of Montréal Nord’s Priorité Jeunesse community action plan, made it possible for two Secondary V classes from École Calixa-Lavallée to explore the idea of resonance.
Drawing inspiration from the works seen at the Museum, the students became involved in a creative project enabling them to show their vision of the world, whether looking inside (through self-portraits) or outside (through landscapes) themselves.
At the end of the school year, we showcase the creations of the two groups of students in this virtual exhibition.
