Micropolitics on the protection of personal Iinformation
Protecting personal information is a priority for the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (hereinafter referred to as the “MMFA”).
Your personal information, that is, information that allows you to be identified, will be collected by the MMFA as part of this survey.
Use of personal information
The MMFA collects and will make use of your personal information in order to ascertain your preferences, interests and behaviours, and, more specifically, to achieve the following objectives:
- Determine MMFA visitors’ level of satisfaction;
- Determine the profiles of the people who visit the MMFA and its various exhibitions and collections, as well as take part in its other activities;
- Optimize the placement of MMFA advertising; and
- Send information via email, newsletter, or targeted ads.
Sharing, storage and disclosure
To achieve such objectives, the MMFA has to share your personal information with trusted service providers1. Our service providers may store your personal information outside Quebec.
Should the MMFA wish to use your personal information for other purposes, it shall ask for your consent.
The MMFA shall delete your personal information once the objectives for which it was collected have been achieved.
Right to access and correct information, and withdraw consent
You have a number of rights in respect to your personal information, including:
- The right to access and receive a copy of your personal information held by the MMFA;
- The right to correct any inaccuracies in your personal information; and
- The right to withdraw your consent to the use of your personal information for one or more of the objectives listed above.
