4th edition of Chiaroscuro on Friday, February 9, from 7 p.m. to midnight
The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts presents the 4th edition of Chiaroscuro on February 9. With the approach of Valentine’s Day, dive in and discover the international art collections of the MMFA as you have never seen them before in the new Michal and Renata Hornstein Pavilion for Peace. Creative workshops, artistic and musical performances, signature cocktails, gourmet stations and many other surprises await the 18-30 year-olds in a high-energy atmosphere.
As a mockery to Cupid’s charms, the MMFA will offer a dazzling programme of artists with singular voices, presented on six levels. The musical offerings of KROY, DJ Baya and DJ. J.u.D. will drive the dance floor, while illustrator Cath Laporte will guide a workshop on ephemeral illustration #Instagram. In the galleries, in situ choreographies of the troupe Moment Lunaire will combine dance and mime. Angelic cocktails and diabolic snacks will be offered at affordable prices throughout the evening. This will be an occasion to take in the MMFA’s exceptional international art collection: more than 750 works dating from the Middle Ages to our days.
