A sweet Easter Monday with Chagall at the MMFA
Take advantage of the Easter long weekend to stop by the Museum. The exhibition Chagall: Colour and Music will be open to the public through the Easter weekend, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., including Monday, April 17. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover the largest-ever exhibition dedicated to Marc Chagall in Canada.
Children and their families can also explore Chagall’s enchanting world with Chagall’s Little Box, a gallery featuring inventive multimedia workshops for children aged 4 to 13. On Monday, April 17, children can indulge their sweet tooth with a chocolate treat, courtesy of the Museum.*
Given the popularity of Chagall: Colour and Music, the exhibition will also be open on Monday, May 22 (Victoria Day), May 29 and June 5, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The exhibition, which has already been seen by more than 125,000 people, has much to offer for the eyes and ears. It shows how music permeated the artist’s life and aesthetic world, with nearly 340 works – paintings, works on paper, sculptures, ceramics, stained glass windows, tapestries, costumes and sets for the world of theatre – and a spectacular projection of the ceiling of the Opéra de Paris, created by the Lab at the Google Cultural Institute.
