The Board of Trustees of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) Foundation is pleased to announce that it has appointed three new members: Jean-Hugues Lafleur, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Hydro-Québec; Anne Martel, Entrepreneur, Co-Founder and Chief Administrative Officer, Element AI; and Marc-André Nantais, Portfolio Manager, Private Wealth Management, Jarislowsky Fraser Limited.
“We are delighted to welcome these three new members to the MMFA Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Their expertise and enthusiasm will be a great contribution to the Foundation’s goals in relation to upholding the well-being of the Museum and its community. The pandemic has posed enormous challenges for the MMFA, and the Foundation will play a crucial role in the coming years to support the Museum in carrying out all of its projects, such as presenting inspiring exhibitions; showcasing its diverse collections as well as the artists who push them forward and bring them to life; and developing education, art therapy, and civic engagement activities that correspond to our society’s challenges. I would like to thank Ms. Martel, Mr. Lafleur and Mr. Nantais for their generous involvement with our institution,” said Sylvie Demers, President of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and Chair, Quebec Market – TD Canada Trust.
