New fundraising campaign : Art Enhances our Lives
The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) is launching its annual fundraising campaign under the banner Art enhances our lives. It calls on the general public's generosity to support its educational and community programmes that promote access to art for all. Organized by the Museum's Foundation and carried out by the Montreal design and interactive experience studio Akufen, the 2017 campaign's target is to collect $1.5 million. Every dollar counts and benefits the community!
Your donations go toward maintaining the Museum's educational and community programmes, such as Educ-Expos, which aim to dissolve prejudice through art, Family Weekends, which allow children and their families to enjoy free activities and Beaux jeudis, which offer seniors a series of activities.
They also contribute to supporting the implementation of social inclusion projects for the underprivileged through anti-bullying initiatives, the promotion of literacy programmes and the integration of newcomers.
Furthermore, the money raised will also allow the Museum to enrich its new World Cultures galleries that celebrate the richness and diversity of our society to promote greater harmony and an open mind to difference.
