As the oldest art museum in Canada, the MMFA is one of the largest cultural institutions in the country and a crowning jewel of Montreal. It sets itself apart with its collection of close to 47,000 artworks and an exhibition program featuring everything from archaeology to fine art and myriad contemporary practices. A pioneering museum in the provision of art therapy, the MMFA works with the community, education, health and technology organizations to give all people exposure to art through inclusive and enriching experiences.
